Activities for families and children at high altitude

The Val di Fassa embodies many opportunities to experience an active holiday, in summer as in winter, in the pursuit of well-being with family and children. Every day you can take advantage of the services offered by the Cima Dodici hotel for families, dedicating space and attention to children. But the Val di Fassa, throughout the year, has many places for activities, even for the little ones.

In the heart of the Dolomites, you will find many experiences dedicated to young and old, to regain possession of the precious time that during the year is difficult to dedicate to the people you love, due to work and a thousand commitments.

Acropark Val di Fassa

If you and your children love fun, adrenaline and sport, you are in the right place! Your children at the Acropark park in the Val di Fassa will be able to climb between ropes, pontoons and ropes, feeling like true heroes of nature like Tarzan!

The routes last on average from 30 to 60 minutes and are designed for everyone: adults, children, the elderly, obviously in normal physical conditions. Each of you will be provided with an individual protection device, or a safety kit that they will explain before starting the path.

Paveneggio Natural Park

The Paveneggio natural park at the Pale di Sa Martino is about 55 minutes from the Cima Dodici hotel in Vigo di Fassa and is truly an excellent opportunity to enjoy relaxing days amidst the fauna and flora of the Dolomites.

Inside the park, concerts, cultural meetings, events and workshops for children and families, excursions and stories are always organized to introduce you to the park and all the plants and animals that live there. Inside there is also a large enclosure that contains many deer, the kings of mountain and woodland nature.

Within the Paveneggio Natural Park you will also find ideal paths for walks with small children, being semi-flat, immersed in the true unspoiled nature of the Dolomites, and you will also reach the Colbricòn lakes in a short time, about 40 minutes. If you want, you can choose to continue towards other paths marked by the CAI, reaching San Martino di Castrozza, from where you can return to the park and to Passo Rolle by bus.

Hiking and mountain biking with the family

During your green summer week in Val di Fassa, you will have the opportunity to spend a day riding a bicycle or mountain bike pedaling with serenity, even together with your children, observing the enchanting landscapes and enjoying pic sic and lunches in cabin or refuge.

Starting directly from the Cima Dodici hotel in Vigo di Fassa, you can reach paths and trails that are ideal for a day on a mountain bike.

Cycle path of the Fiemme and Fassa Dolomites

Among the most interesting routes of the Val di Fassa, starting from our hotel, you can take the cycle path of the Fiemme and Fassa Dolomites. It is a path also suitable for holidays with children and families, in which bridges, passages in the woods and routes in the pastures alternate. Throughout the trail, you will find many playgrounds for your children and rest areas where you can have a snack or a picnic.

The convenience of this route, the cycle path of the Fiemme and Fassa Dolomites, is also the possibility to go back with the bike thanks to the Bike Express: it is a coach equipped also for transporting mountain bikes that runs 3 daily runs every day of the week.

In Val di Fassa, however, we remind you that there are many theme parks for all children who love cycling and mountain biking.

For example:

Skillpark in Canazei: it is an easy path with walkways and jumps,
Carezza Trail for more experienced and older children: 4.4 km long, with an altitude difference of 500 meters, an average gradient of 11% and numerous parabolic and banked turns. At the start of the route there is also a small park for jumps and acrobatics with the mountain bike.
